Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
