Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
