Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 to burn therein. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
