The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THAT which must come to pass [at last] comes to pass, 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 7 Those on the right hand; how happy shall those on the right hand be! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 but only the saying: 'Peace, Peace' 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 And spreading shade, 30 And water gushing, 31 and fruit abounding, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For those on the right hand; 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
