Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 as black camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
