Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
