Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
