We gave Moses the Book, but they differed regarding it, but for a word that preceded from your Lord, it had been decided between them; and they are in disquieting doubt of it. 110 Your Lord will reward each one of them in full for their deeds. He is well-aware of all their actions. 111 Pursue, then, the right course, as thou hast been bidden [by God,] together with all who, with thee, have turned unto Him; and let none of you behave in an overweening manner: for, verily, He sees all that you do. 112 Do not lean towards the wicked, or you will be caught in the flames of Hell, and have none to befriend you other than God, nor will you be given help. 113 And establish thou the prayer at the two ends of the day, and in the neighbouring watches of the night verily virtues take away vices. That is a reminder unto the mindful. 114 And be steadfast in patience; for verily Allah will not suffer the reward of the righteous to perish. 115 Why were there not, among the generations before you, persons possessed of balanced good sense, prohibiting (men) from mischief in the earth - except a few among them whom We saved (from harm)? But the wrong-doers pursued the enjoyment of the good things of life which were given them, and persisted in sin. 116 And your Lord would never destroy the towns wrongfully, while their people were right-doers. 117 And had thy Lord willed, He would surely have made mankind of one community, and they will not cease differing. 118 except those on whom your Lord shows mercy. For this end He has created them. The Word of your Lord shall be perfectly completed: 'I shall fill Gehenna (Hell) with jinn and people, all together' 119 We have told you the stories of the prophets to make your heart firm and in these accounts truth has come to you, with an exhortation and a reminder for the believers. 120 And say to those who do not believe: Act according to your state; surely we too are acting. 121 And you wait! We (too) are waiting." 122 To God belongs the Unseen in the heavens and the earth. To Him the whole matter shall be returned; so serve Him, and put thy trust in Him. Thy Lord is not heedless of the things you do. 123
