The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 who give charity, 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
