۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 And detain them, for they will be questioned." 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 They will submit to questioning then, 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 “We therefore led you astray, for we ourselves were astray!” 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 They can only return to hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
