So, I call to witness what you see 38 And what you do not see 39 Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Apostle, 40 And it is not the speech of a poet. Little it is that ye believe 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive. 42 It is a Revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 Had he attributed falsely any words to Us, 44 We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), 45 then We would surely have cut his life-vein 46 and none of you could have saved him! 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 68] 49 Surely it is a sorrow to the unbelievers; 50 But verily it is Truth of assured certainty. 51 Therefore-glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 52

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
