The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Was there not a period of time when man was nothing worth mentioning? 1 Verily We! We created man from a sperm of mixtures, that We might prove him, wherefore We made him hearing, seeing. 2 We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. 3 Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze. 4 Verily, the Abrar (pious, who fear Allah and avoid evil), shall drink a cup (of wine) mixed with water from a spring in Paradise called Kafur. 5 From a fountain whence the bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to gush abundantly. 6 They keep their vows and fear a day the woe of which will spread far and wide; 7 And they give food out of love for Him to the poor and the orphan and the captive: 8 (saying): 'We feed you only desirous of the Face of Allah; we seek of you neither recompense nor thanks, 9 we fear from our Lord a Day that shall be long and distressful.” 10 So God will protect them from the evil of that day, and grant them happiness and joy, 11 and will reward them for their steadfastness with Paradise and robes of silk. 12 therein they shall recline upon couches, therein they shall see neither sun nor bitter cold; 13 The shade thereof is close upon them and the clustered fruits thereof bow down. 14 Passed round will be silver flagons and goblets made of glass, 15 (Transparent as) glass, made of silver; they have measured them according to a measure. 16 And therein they shall be given to drink a cup whose mixture is ginger, 17 (Of) a fountain therein which is named Salsabil. 18 ۞ And round about them shall go youths never altering in age; when you see them you will think them to be scattered pearls. 19 And when you look there [in Paradise], you will see pleasure and great dominion. 20 On their bodies will be garments of the finest green silk and brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give them a purest draught to drink. 21 (And it will be said to them): "Verily, this is a reward for you, and your endeavour has been accepted." 22

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
