Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By the midmorning, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
