And indeed We sent Nooh to his people – he therefore stayed with them for a thousand years, less fifty; so the flood seized them, and they were unjust. 14 Then We saved him and those with him in the ship, and made it (the ship) as an Ayah (a lesson, a warning, etc.) for the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 15 And Abraham, when he said to his people, 'Serve God, and fear Him; that is better for you, did you know. 16 You only worship, other than Allah, idols and invent falsehoods. Those whom you worship, other than Allah, have no power to give you provision. Therefore seek the provision of Allah, and worship Him. Give thanks to Him, to Him you shall return' 17 “And if you deny, then many nations have denied before you; and the Noble Messenger is not responsible except to plainly convey (the message).” 18 (Have they not seen how God originates creation, then brings it back again? Surely that is an easy matter for God. 19 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent." 20 "He punishes whom He pleases, and He grants Mercy to whom He pleases, and towards Him are ye turned. 21 You cannot defeat His purpose on earth or in heaven; nor have you any friend or helper besides God." 22
