Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
