The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
