Did you not see that We sent devils upon the disbelievers, so they excite them abundantly? 83 So be not impatient over them. We only count out to them a [limited] number. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 And We shall drive the Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, etc.) to Hell, in a thirsty state (like a thirsty herd driven down to water), 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 And they say: the Compassionate hath taken a son. 88 Indeed, [by this assertion] you have brought forth something monstrous, 89 Whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall in ruins, 90 That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. 91 The Beneficent God is too Exalted to have a son. 92 None there is in the heavens and the earth but must come unto the Compassionate as a bondman. 93 He has counted and enumerated them one by one. 94 Every one of them shall come to Him upon the Day of Resurrection, all alone. 95 Indeed, the Most Compassionate Lord will soon create enduring love for those who believe and do righteous works. 96 So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people. 97 And how many a generation We destroyed before them! Dost thou perceive so much as one of them, or hear of them a whisper? 98
