Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 Rather they were shocked that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves, so the disbelievers said, “This is something really strange.” 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
