And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, "Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do." 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
