It is He who made the earth tame for you - so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision - and to Him is the resurrection. 15 Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)? 16 Or do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not send against you a storm of stones? Then you would know how [severe] was My warning. 17 And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah), then how terrible was My denial (punishment)? 18 Do they not see the birds above them flying wings spread out or folded? Nothing holds them aloft but God. All things are within His purview. 19 Or who is it that will be a host for you to assist you besides the Beneficent Allah? The unbelievers are only in deception. 20 Is there anyone who will provide you with sustenance if God were to deny you sustenance? In fact, they obstinately persist in their transgression and hatred. 21 Is he, then, who goeth about grovelling upon his face better directed, or he who walketh evenly on a straight path? 22 Say thou: He it is who hath brought you forth and hath endowed you with hearing and sights and hearts. Little thanks it is ye give! 23 Say, "It is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered." 24 They say: “If you are truthful, tell us when will this promise (of the Hereafter) be fulfilled?” 25 Say: 'The knowledge (of that) is with Allah; I am only a clear warner' 26 At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled), which ye were calling for!" 27 Say: "Just think: If God destroys me and those with me, or is benevolent to us, who will then protect the unbelievers from a painful doom?" 28 Say: He is the Beneficent Allah, we believe in Him and on Him do we rely, so you shall come to know who it is that is in clear error. 29 Say: "Just think: If your water were to dry up in the morning who will bring you water from a fresh, flowing stream?" 30
