Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
