Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
