Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
