The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So where are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
