The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
