The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
