Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 and covered them with torment. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
