Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. 26 whereas the invisible beings We had created, [long] before that, out of the fire of scorching winds. 27 And when thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay of mud moulded. 28 When it is properly shaped and I have blown My Spirit into it, you should then bow down in prostration". 29 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 Said He, 'What ails thee, Iblis, that thou art not among those bowing?' 32 Iblis replied, "I did not want to prostrate before a human being whom You have created out of mud-moulded clay". 33 (Allah) said: 'Begone, you are accursed! 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 "O my Lord," said he, "give me respite till the day the dead are raised." 36 Allah said: verily then thou art of the respited: 37 Till the period of the time made known. 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 excepting those Thy servants among them that are devoted. 40 He said: This is a right way with Me: 41 "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee." 42 And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
