The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
