And heaven – We made it with Our Own Power and We have the Power to do so. 47 And We have spread out the earth, how Excellent Spreader (thereof) are We! 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Flee therefore unto Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 50 And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him. 51 Even so not a Messenger came to those before them but they said, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 52 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. 53 Turn away from them. You will not be blamed. 54 And warn, for warning profiteth believers. 55 And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Surely God is the All-provider, the Possessor of Strength, the Ever-Sure. 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 Alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the Day which has been promised them. 60
