The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
