Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the midday brightness 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
