Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8
