Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim 1 Revelation of this Book, whereof there is no doubt, is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay! it is the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, that they may follow the right direction. 3 God is the one who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, then He established His dominion over the Throne. No one besides Him is your guardian or intercessor. Will you then not take heed? 4 He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 Who made all things good which He created, and He began the creation of man from clay; 7 then He made his progeny from an extract of a humble fluid. 8 Then He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him the soul (created by Allah for that person), and He gave you hearing (ears), sight (eyes) and hearts. Little is the thanks you give! 9 And they say: What! when we have become lost in the earth, shall we then certainly be in a new creation? Nay! they are disbelievers in the meeting of their Lord. 10 ۞ Say, "The Angel of Death who has been given charge of you will gather in your souls. Then you will [all] be returned to your Lord." 11
