And whatever affliction befalls you, it is on account of what your hands have wrought, and (yet) He pardons most (of your faults). 30 And you cannot escape from Allah (i.e. His Punishment) in the earth, and besides Allah you have neither any Wali (guardian or a protector) nor any helper. 31 And among His Signs are the ships, smooth-running through the ocean, (tall) as mountains. 32 If He will He calmeth the wind so that they keep still upon its surface - Lo! herein verily are signs for every steadfast grateful (heart). - 33 Or He may destroy them (by drowning) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much. 34 And (that) those who dispute about Our communications may know; there is no place of refuge for them. 35 Whatever you have received is only for usage in the life of this world, and that which is with Allah is much better and more lasting for those who believe and rely upon their Lord. 36 And (for) those who avoid cardinal sins and indecencies, and forgive (even) when they are angry. 37 those who answer their Lord, establish the prayers, and their affairs are by consultation; who spend of that which We have given them, 38 And those who, when great wrong afflicts them, defend themselves. 39 The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in degree): but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah: for (Allah) loveth not those who do wrong. 40 Those who defend themselves after they have been wronged cannot be held blameworthy, 41 The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment. 42 whoever is patient and forgiving, acts with great courage and resolution. 43
