Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Reality (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)! 1 What is the Indubitable? 2 And what have you understood, how tremendous the true event is! 3 The tribes of Thamud and 'Ad denied that disaster would strike them: 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, 6 He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down! 7 Do you then see of them one remaining? 8 And Firon and those before him and the overthrown cities continuously committed sins. 9 and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe! 10 Indeed when the water swelled up, We boarded you onto the ship. 11 That We might make it unto you an admonition, and that it might be retained by the retaining ears. 12 And when the trumpet is blown with a single blast, 13 and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke! 14 Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur, 15 And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. 16 and the angels [will appear] at its ends, and above them, eight will bear aloft on that Day the throne of thy Sustainer's almightiness… 17 The Day whereon ye shall be mustered nothing hidden by you shall be hidden. 18 He who is given his ledger in his right hand, will say: "Here, read my ledger. 19 "I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!" 20 So he shall be in a pleasing life 21 In a lofty garden, 22 its clusters nigh to gather. 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 As for him whose Record will be given to him in his left hand, he will exclaim: “Would that I had never been given my Record, 25 and that we would never knew what our records contained. 26 Would it had been the end! 27 My wealth has not helped me a thing 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. 30 And then expose him to hell-fire 31 Then thrust him into a chain the length of which is seventy cubits. 32 Surely he did not believe in Allah, the Great, 33 And urged not on the feeding of the wretched. 34 Today he shall have no loyal friend here, 35 Nor any food save filthy corruption. 36 which only the sinners will eat.” 37

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
