Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
