The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
