Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
