Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We sent down out of heaven water blessed, and caused to grow thereby gardens and grain of harvest 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
