Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
