The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
