Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
