The food of the Zakkum tree 43 The food of sinners. 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 Like the churning of boiling water. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. 48 'Taste! Surely thou art the mighty, the noble. 49 This is that which you doubted' 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 among gardens and fountains, 52 They will be dressed in fine silk and embroidery, facing one another (on thrones). 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 In that [paradise] they shall [rightfully] claim all the fruits [of their past deeds,] resting in security; 55 Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,- 56 As a Bounty from your Lord! That will be the supreme success! 57 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. 58 Therefore wait; surely they are waiting. 59
