He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 or he might be mindful and good counsel might avail him. 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 to him thou attendest 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 and in awe of God 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 These verses are a reminder 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 It is contained in scrolls highly honoured, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; 17 From what did He create him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave; 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 Thereafter We cleave the earth in clefts, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 olives, dates, 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 and fruits and fodder 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 Blackness overcoming them. 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
