Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the white forenoon 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
