And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 About all what they used to do. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
