Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known calculated term. 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
