Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 [And then he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Save me and my household from all that they are doing!" 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
