Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
